Ground Rules is a Black woman–owned, wellness-centered plant company serving Henry County and Metro Atlanta area. We exist to redefine what houseplants represent — not just décor, but tools for intentional, grounded living.
A founder shaped by soil and southern hospitality.
Rachel F. Jenkins grew up in Henry County, where her grandmother Hannah's hands were always in the dirt. The garden was where Hannah grieved, celebrated, and made room for everyone — a quiet practice of grounding that Rachel carries forward today.
After years in hospitality, Rachel founded Ground Rules to build a space where Black women, beginner plant parents, and busy professionals could find more than another houseplant — they could find a practice and a people.
Ground Rules begins online with local pickup and pop-ups, with a long-term vision of a hybrid boutique plant shop, wellness studio, and community center — including a memorial garden honoring Hannah.
